Molly June Benioff

Amanda Peet has welcomed a new daughter, Molly June. This little girl will be a real go-getter, since she has a name that provides plenty of emotional adrenaline and a desire to step out of tradition. The middle name June will mirror the qualities present in the first name. Molly should have lots of fun with older sister France too. After all, Frances is a name that encourages a light-hearted attitude and a penchant for adventure. Amanda and husband David couldn't have chosen livelier names for their daughters!

Nahla Ariela Aubry

Whenever I work with parents in the naming process, I am quick to advise looking at the association factor of a name before choosing it. In other words, if there's a negative association in the sound or potential meaning on a societal or familial basis, the name should be rejected. When Halle Berry chose the name for her new daughter, she definitely neglected to look at the association factor. In our culture, "nah" means no, and not only does this baby have the "nah" sound in her first name, her initials spell out the very same thing... NAA. Beyond the association factor, the name Nahla will provide a subliminal that encourages diplomacy, niceness and a desire to please. This name does not bolster confidence with ease. It might be expected that little Nahla may indeed have some difficulty setting healthy boundaries later in life. The full name Nahla Aubry will slow down the pace of life and bring quite a few tests and challenges. Here's a situation where a quick name attunement might just get this name on track!

Max and Emme Have Arrived!

When Christina Aguilera gave birth to her son on January 12th, the name that went on the birth certificate was Max Liron Bratman. For both celebs and everyday parents, the name Max is becoming more and more popular. Most likely there is appeal in the shortness of the name, and the warm quality that comes in using a formal name that sounds like a nickname. What's in store for this little Max? There will be great people skills present, and a wonderful sense of timing... which means it won't be long before this little guy will be dance, dance, dancing! And his full name will add big doses of charisma and magnetic attraction. The only little glitch in the works is the middle name Liron. When added to the full name, this middle name slows life down to a crawl. Wee Mr. Bratman should consider leaving his middle name out of the mix. (And just for the record, the spelling "Maxx" can be a great choice for parents that want to encourage sports ability or financial acumen in their child... good job to Scott Hamilton in picking that spelling for his new son!)
